I'm a designer, maker and alchemist.

I have a habit of collecting leaves and flowers that I find along the way.

Yes, I do love plants.

Through an act of contemplation and accurate analysis of the found object; I explore its textures, shapes, angles and scents.

It is basically a surgical act that involves a sense of empathy with the object of study.

Ok, it's love.

Photos, microscopic looks, videos and different lights and angles are explored.

And in this way, I break the ice.

And then I decide to go to the kitchen.

By combining my culinary skills along with my research on traditional craftsmanship, I'm able to transform these plants into something else.

Like magic, new materials and colours are revealed; and so I realise how endless the possibilities of metamorphosis are.

Sometimes these materials are transformed into ingredients.

For this occasion, I have to wear my lab coat.

Working along with chemists and biologists are an important phase of my work to understand and find out new properties and applications.

Within a holistic approach, my practice combines design, science, botany, chemistry and a pinch of sensitivity to establish a connection with the chosen raw material.

Through this multidisciplinary and collaborative work, giving a certain degree of attention to what is considered just an ordinary matter, I intend to contribute to the development of more circular design systems in the field of materials for different industries and audiences.
