Japanese Knotweed is the main raw material for the development of the experiments and, its parts - rhizome, stem, leaf and peduncle - were explored separately.
By harvesting it at different times of the year, the plant offers different properties and qualities.
Ancient techniques of making were explored and only natural ingredients added to the recipes.
All the residues were repurposed and seen as ingredients for other making process.
Primitive processes such as boiling, drying and beating enable the transformation of properties, colours of materials.
Patterns, textures can be applied without adding any other sort of ingredient.
